I have a pretty good quality suede/shearling....today, I rubbed against my car and covered it with dirt/salt/crap from my car...I live in the icicy, snowy, frozen north...

how would I clean up? I wiped down with a moist towel, and then combed it over with a lint roller. But I noticed that tons and tons of very very small "hairs" came up with the lint roller....is this damaging it?
I can't notice any great difference before and after...but I just wondered what the hell came up on the lint roller?

Any advice gratefully appreciated. I don't want to damage this coat!

I always use a standard eraser....yup, the school block type. Spray on some kiwi suede cleaner, lightly, and rub w/the eraser then wipe with clean dry cloth - works every time.
