Doesn't Chester Jefferies make for a ton of the high-end brands and shops in the UK? You might actually be better off ordering directly from them after you get back home instead of paying someone's mark-up.
This is true, but their options in Hogskin are quite limited.
Each is very conservative, so you can't go wrong. I believe my Jay Kos branded gloves are Jefferies Cheltenhams in hogskin, plus a you-have-to-laugh-after-the-fact mark-up.
Are they special order Jay Kos?
Pickett is probably the safest bet - but last time I looked they were CJs with a ludicrous mark-up.

Whatever it is, Sermoneta would not be worth it -- I'd recommend CJ from wherever or Reynolds & Kent or what have you... T&A have hogskin gloves on their website, so I'd imagine they might have them in the Jermyn St store. Aquascutum had a good selection of very nice gloves in their Regent St flagship too. Also try Conolly on Conduit St, maybe also some other places on Jermyn St or such... or Udeshi? even the Egyptian Grocer... BTW, Bill, by hogskin do you mean peccary or carpincho (latter is sometimes called "buffed hogskin", it is sort of sueded and speckled). I only saw the latter in the Chester Jefferies catalog. By far the best peccary gloves I have seen come from France (nope, not Peru). I can give you some addreses if you want.

Well, in the Dress range, the've got four different men's styles that come in hogskin. Each is very conservative, so you can't go wrong. I believe my Jay Kos branded gloves are Jefferies Cheltenhams in hogskin, plus a you-have-to-laugh-after-the-fact mark-up.
