Yes Sir! Though Are Beautiful Young Man and The Cuffs Looks Taller Than The Norm For You... :bigstar: :bigstar: :bigstar:
@1st Step

I’d normally go with 1.5” cuffs on suits (more conservative) but these odd trousers are cut very full (with 19.5” leg opening) which “absolutely” demand a 2” cuff to maintain Visual balance.

I'm already used to their brown games, but once again it makes it perfect.
I am waiting for 4 brown pants for the next days, I hope to have similar looks.
Regards.
Thanks! Looking forward to seeing pics!! I still need to round out my f/w pant wardrobe. I have a lot of navy-ish, gray, and light brown trousers … need some dark brown cotton, flannel or tweed. :cheers:

Nice tie--Cappelli?
Yep! IIRC, he had the fabric at the same time as Drake's, and Drake's got mad at the fabric maker for selling it to him. Maybe apocryphal, but low key amusing either way.

Very kind indeed my good friend. Subjective critique taken onboard in good faith. It's all part of the experimentation, trial and error. I have different variety of ties that could perfectly work with this combination but thought going along with this beige cashmere tie would be a good compromise. Anyway, what an interesting observation.:)
Not to pile on, but I agree that the tie is suboptimal. It’s a beautiful tie don’t get me wrong. The color of the tie is too close to the color of the pants, a near miss. I find it distracting. A cardigan would have helped to separate the colors. Agree the pants and jacket are amazing.

@Tibor, I would call the color cobalt blue. But I am far from a specialist on it. In fact, I picked up the fabric because I loved the color and could not describe it. I think it was @upr_crust who directed me to cobalt blue as the correct color for this suit.

@Alan Bee You look splendid. For my next suit I will try fuller trousers and if it works and I need to change my wardrobe I will send you the bill.

@bernoulli, I believe that, at least in American English parlance, RAF blue or cadet blue describes the color of your suit more accurately - cobalt is a stronger blue, more like that of the suit which @Betelgeuse posted today.

I agree that @Alan Bee new trousers look splendid, but the fact that he's tall with long legs, and a well-developed torso may have a lot to so with it - I am not sure that I could pull off 19.5" trouser bottoms at 5'8" and my extremely late middle-age dad bod. I am curious, though, about the braces shown in the photos - buttons on the back, but clips in the front - were they the property of the tailor, and used for fittings, or are they the style of braces intended for use with the trousers as made?

@upr_crust

UC, the braces are a showroom model at the tailors (not mine). Its a button/clip combo but they hadn't attached the front brace buttons so we had to make do with the clip for the fitting. I had the trousers cut a bit loose at the waist (as it should with this design of trousers) hence only can be worn with braces (suspenders)

Edit: The Trousers hang "completely free" from the shoulders via the suspenders (to maintain the line and drape) hence the slightly loose cut waist.

I think you should slim the leg a touch. 19.5” is a bit much, even for a more physically imposing presence. Needlessly baggy, in my opinion.
I will say I love the fishtail back. Relatively rare nowadays, at least from my experience

I am glad that I can count on @upr_crust to correct my mistakes and faulty memory. RAF blue it is and it is one of my favorite suits.

Would be nice, but please send pics first.
And besides that, this is the darkest part of the year. Soon I will be off to a better place.

Where can I purchase a RAF blue suit OTR? I always thought colbolt was more or less a tacky shade of blue.
