@Veremund You are right, but I like to look slightly nonchalant ... maybe because I tend to be too much chalant (does this word actually exist??) at times ...
Anyway, I understand that the line between nonchalant and sloppy may be really thin, so I'd gladly appreciate any advice to get the same result without looking sloppy!

You should consider using collar stays.

I disagree, a collar should never be stiff, looks much better when draped and rolled around the tie imho.

@Luigi_M You could go for a center dimple instead, but it's not a big deal really. still a nice knot.

+1 on the Collar stays. or, just a good ironing.

To my eyes, your knot seems too tight. perhaps loosen it a little? asymmetrical knot?
the strictness of the knot, including symmetry in the dimples suggests tension. relax. the combo is good.
it's a very nice tie also.

BTW - the tie is a vintage Versace (vintage means that I bought it new when I was much younger ...)

if my assessment was wrong? i apologize. your clothes seem to drape well. but you put so much care into the tie being perfect. i can't help but wonder what you were thinking about. were you being careful? or thinking about something else? i saw tension.

i'd rather try to understand another's fit. than to judge it against my own ideals.
-after all. helping others grow into their own style is how to make a sale.

looking forward to more Italian self expression.

Agreed. The first thing I do with every new shirt I get is to take out the collar stays and bin them.

and some stays are not stiff...they give and r flexible. So it depends on the look and the outfit and your goals.

a drape and a roll can vary with its softness/stiffness

The only shirt collar that looks better stiff is a starched wing collar for white tie IMHO, and you don't use collar stays for those. It's not really a thing that can be debated anyway, since it's entirely dependent on personal taste.
