Hmmmm. The gorge on that jacket seems positively scapular...

Really like the trousers and the 30s-style tucked-in knit vest.

Thanks! Yeah, it’s up there for sure, though the camera being placed at my solar plexus (for maximum mightiness) is making it look higher than it is. It’s the Spier Mackay V3 everyone is on about; a scroll through their thread will reveal the notch to in fact be on the front of the jacket, if just barely. I shall atone for my gorge sins with my deadstock 80s Polo camel-hair jacket here soon.

The vest is also deadstock 80s Polo, largely because I’ve taken good care of it since Polo sold it to me.

In my haste I forgot to mention that when buying a sub-$300 Brisbane Moss Dark Olive cord jacket that matches my existing Brisbane Moss Dark Olive cord britches, my options were fairly limited. If I'd really wanted a cord suit with a gorge to straddle my trapezius properly, I would have had to spend as much as Simon here...

It's time to put an end to all these elegantly perfected fits today. As promised, here are two personal challenges, the Solid Blue Hanky and the (Almost) conservative business dress Snow Boot.

Since I couldn't find a hanky light enough, I dyed one of my white ones last night. It came out pretty much exactly as I wanted, but I will leave it up to you to decide whether it is viable.

I'll let the boots speak for themselves. The socks were probably a mistake.

This last one is a comparison with the AE Macallister.

@coldsalmon, yes, I second your doubts about the socks (but then it's a thing of mine, as I prefer solid coloured ones).
The rest of your outfit - comprising the black dressy boots - I like very much!

Thanks - all of my solid socks were in the wash.

Jett...

nice effort.

but IMO a good look can be ruined by a schamltzy lined collar, a bad bracelet, and some pocket squares....
