To day I wear bespoke jacket and trousers from Whitcomb & Shaftesbury (London).
Shirt and tie are from Charles Tyrwhitt - shoes fra Alfred Sargent.

I'm quite happy with the jackets, but it took some trousers to get slim enough silhouette.

Wider pants (or at least less tapered with a tiny bit more length) may feel wrong to you at the moment but I do think they would be an improvement on an otherwise very solid fit. There's the ratio of leg opening to shoe size to consider too. What I'm assuming is an iPhone pic will distort it even more but you get the clown shoe effect when your pants look barely wider than your socks.

Only meant to help, not criticize. You're certainly at a great starting point!

I hear ya, and you could be right but I don't think the photo gave an accurate representation - they aren't that tapered but they are on the short side and of course its personal preference too.
