On shirt sleeve length, I always have mine long enough to hit the webbing of my thumb when totally unbottoned. I hate exposing my wrist when shaking hands, talking on the phone, etc.

I base all of my "how-it-should-fit" beliefs on this article:
http://putthison.com/post/20470105056/the-custom-shirts-series-part-ii-how-should-a

This is fine so long as you also follow the other traditional principle: the cuff should be tight enough that when fastened you can’t easily remove the shirt.

That will prevent it from extending too far past the jacket sleeve.

Cheers,

Ac

^ very important. I wear almost exclusively MTM shirts, so that's never a problem for me.

That's what I moved to as well. I had an aha moment. I was wearing MTM suits, sportcoats, trousers and shoes. Why not shirts? So I made that switch and I'm pretty happy with my decision

Today. Still too cold here to start using more summery tailoring.

In my experience, linen blends don't wrinkle anything like as much as pure linen does. Wool-silk-linen blends especially.
Yes, absolutely. Really love that combination of materials.
Those jackets look wonderfully French. Where from?
Didn't post for a while, so here are some fits from the last days.
Italy, of course. I'm curious, what do you think looks French about them?
Who is the maker of those braces? Sent from my LG-VS980 using Tapatalk
probably shibumi
Yes it is. Made for them in England. Don't know who their manufacturer is (Thurston maybe?), Sander could tell you http://www.styleforum.net/u/4701/sander , but I have a few of them myself and I can tell you that they are excellent (and I don't work for Shibumi...).
Thanks! Yes, they are from us.
