To be fair when I first got into formal dressing and Googled tie knots it came up with all these crazy tie knot ideas. I'm sure he will Lean an elegant 4-in-hand soon :)

Indeed. Some, ahem, 'interesting' takes on Classic Menswear lately...
Yes, some extremely poor efforts.

It's a shame that there is almost zero feedback (other than thumbs, or bland homegenized positives) that offer guidance or constrcutive criticism in this thread anymore.

I agree, it seems like a lot of fits are just ignored and then the "golden" posters get all the attention...

I think part of the problem is, that there is no consensus as to what this thread is about. Some would say just posting what you wore, some would say improvement, some give only positive feedback and stay silent if they don't like something (I feel that's the majority), others comment on things they don't like (in varying degrees of niceness)... I personally think everybody can benefit from constructive criticism, so that's what I try to do when I see something I have an idea for; but again, there is no consensus to what we're doing here exactly.

This thread has a long history of offering unsolicited feedback, as you well know. It was far more entertaining and instructive when knowledgeable posters shared more. Some feedback was blunt and critical, which the thread could use more of now, in my humble opinion. There are plenty of good knowledgeable posters whose advice is sorely needed.
