Thanks for all the thumbs lately, both here and in the Friday challengethread. I will be back with more pictures when my vacation in Scotland is over, and life is back to some kind of normality.

That's quite the nice photo! Not a fan of the tie per se, but it definitely works in this context. What's the story of the guy behind you?

@SeamasterLux I don't know what others will say but to me - this is simply perfect. Maybe except the bump in your left sleeve's back (which my be caused by the static robo-pose?).

I love the herringbone fabric of the suit (at least I'm guessing it's herringbone). And that tie!

Thanks @ShawnBC

Unfortunately, the bump is due to the posture. I don't have a private photographer so I do that with a camera on a tripod before heading to work :)

Je comprends tout à fait! Malheureusement, peu d'entre nous peuvent se permettre les services d'un photographe privé! Bonne journée!

Edit* oh BTW, when someone tags you with the @ is it supposed to warn you in any kind of way? I thought when I tagged people it would somehow draw their attention! Was I wrong this whole time? Because when people tag my username in their post - nothing happens!

@SeamasterLux you should have your own emoticon here, so I don't have to write 'superb' every time you post...
Is the suit Attolini?

Thanks so much @EliodA !

The suit is not that fancy actually. MTM by Mabro (still fully canvassed, approx. similar to Caruso)

@GuidoWongolini Really nice!

That is another Danish gentleman wearing a bespoke Musellea Dembech, Milano, fresco glen check coat.

Classic versus modern, another Danish gent in MTM - same occasion: :bigstar:

I rambled a bit on tumblr, but what it comes down to is that I think I went too bold with the tie, and it ends up too splashy for the DB jacket.

Cool @YRR92

That’s what’s really needed, a compare and contrast, except I’d have done the experiment with a BB1 repp. That said, with the two jackets in question, surely if anything goes with either it will be a red/navy BB1

On that tie, I think summery ties, by which I mean ties that are overall brighter and/or less saturated though not necessarily “loud” should be worn in all their glory (so as in the first, not second). My last fit in this thread might serve as an example.

Anyway, this is all a bit of personal preference. There was a discussion about block stripes which is nicely worn (with a suit) above. Butler's tie might also be a case on the current point.
