Can I ask what material makeup is the jacket? Also is it tan, beige, or cream?
It’s wool, Hardy Minnis Fresco Lite. TBH I have no idea what is the difference between tan, beige and cream. Here are some additional pictures, you decide.

As for the naming of colours, I think that it's also a cultural matter.

For me it's a cream, but for somebody else it could be tan or beige. I would say that cream has a more yellow hue, tan more brown and beige more neutral/grey.

Fresco lite is the best summer fabric, bar none. Will it survive summer in a tropical country? No, but nothing is as good as Fresco lite for non-scorching summer days.
I ordered this suit for my friends wedding, which was held in Turkey, during the summer. Felt quite OK even though temperature in Ankara was around 35 Celsius degrees.

I agree about the warmth of the shoes. I didn't want to wear white shoes, but should have.

I disagree, the shoes combine nicely in my eyes, even though they are warmer than rest of the outfit, a lovely contrast though.
Instead of white you could have worn dark brown for a safe look.

Also curious about the colour, even though I understand that there's not a univocal agreement in this matter. If you make a research online you will see that names are associated to quite different colours.
Yeah im curious if it is indeed yellow undertone or more greige. It helps for my own pairings.

That it how I would describe the differences as well. I see this as closer to tan to me. Almost like a lighter khaki.

For me cream is a bit brighter. Almost like french vanilla ice cream but less saturated. Like the attached picture. However there will be variances all over the board for all these “colors”.

Despite the boldness of some of my get ups, I rarely feel conspicuous. It’s New York City after all. Today, not going to lie, I felt a little conspicuous. I still absolutely love this outfit. I think white socks would have been better, but only these pink ones were clean.

I think the amplitude of your outfits is quite large. I naturally understand the need to dress in a more conservative direction from your baseline but I'm very curious about what pushes you to "go mad" as you put it?

I think if anyone could pull off an outfit like this one, it'd be you, but still it is unique and fair to assume it's not rooted in any sort of menswear tradition?

I have to say that English is not my mother tongue, so I tend to associate the cream colour rather to something like the colour of custard, which for others could be tan.
