Love that overcoat! Where is it from?Hola!
Nice use of preamble, and a well written sentiment overall. To the lurkers: it may seem that most posters have an absurdly large wardrobe but that is not necessarily the case. Of course, most posters have more suits and jackets than the average person, but it does not necessarily mean anything too unwieldy. For instance, I have commissioned, on average, 2 suits per year for the last 10 years. Some have been retired. Yes, 20 suits seem a lot but they were not bought overnight. Also, and I am sure this is the same for others, fits that we enjoy but are similar to past ones don't get posted. You just don't get to see them.
Case in point: I really enjoy the combo I wore to deliver a lecture a few weeks ago. Other than selecting a different pair of shoes and another scarf, the ensembles are almost identical. I wouldn't bother posting if it were not for this long preamble.
If you are considering a remake of your wardrobe but are concerned about facing considerable barriers, I can assure you it is not a daunting proposition. It is a long journey, for sure, but is not a particularly difficult one. And it has its benefits, as @DiplomaticTies put it so well in an earlier post, a page or two ago.

Thanks, it's from Spier & Mackay.Love that overcoat! Where is it from?
Another shot of dressing up this DB. We haven't really had much of fall weather and here we are days away from the Winter Solstice.
Today a high of 82 and a low of 74. I'm dressing for the weather not the season.
