Showed this to the wife. Her first reaction: nice pastel color palette. She asked to see more of your fits. Her main comment: his color coordination is always off-the-chart great, even when I don't like something (like @sugarbutch, she is not a fan of the white loafers). You are a success with the ladies.
I’m glad she enjoys my outfits. I love playing with color and patterns. My wife is one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to clothing and she is a lover of color and patterns as well.
Also, as a young black kid growing up in the South, the role of color and patterns where critical in how we dressed. I wasn’t always able to afford the latest styles, but I certainly studied them extensively. I think my current style is highly influenced by that. Every pair of colorful Jordan’s had to have a matching hat and/or sweatshirt/jersey. The matching was intentional not subtle. I guess I’m trying to mix 80s/90s southern Black streetwear style with Ivy/trad style. It sounds crazy on paper, but I enjoy it.
Have you been hanging out with @bernoulli?What I am wearing today, if photographed and posted, would be a scandal for this forum (polo shirt, shorts, flip-flops), but what I have received in the mail today is much more on point - my custom patinated shoes from Septieme Largeur. I hope that you enjoy . . .
