@An Acute Style, let me reiterate that your new jacket is amazing. How do you find such treasures? Did you get it adjusted at all?

Today I set a goal for myself: can I pull off wearing items that I really don't like much, creating an interesting outfit? I do like the vest and the shoes but the shirt is most likely going to be retired soon, and I don't care much for the tie and the blandness of the suit fabric.

Thanks for the kind words. The jacket is a vintage pick up from the Fine and Dandy Shop here in NYC. They mostly carry men's accessories but have a small cache of vintage items. I went in looking for a tie and left with this jacket instead. I'm told the jacket belonged to the estate of the gentleman who illustrated the Paul Stuart logo.

It was an obtuse purchase at $150. I usually keep things under $90. I was smitten by the pockets, fabric, and overall great fit. I only had the sleeves lengthened.

As to how I find these things, my answer is always consistency. While other people are watching sports or hanging out at bars, I'm checking eBay and other sites for bargains. If you look consistently, you will find things consistently. I don't have much wisdom beyond that. I'm also a pretty easy fit when it comes to jackets.

I’m wearing summer suits all week. This one is a three piece linen from Brooks Brothers I got last year. I prefer vintage Brooks stuff, but this ain’t bad.

No shoes today, but thought these white loafers added some nice contrast. I’d probably wear a button down shirt and a more casual tie with the shoes. @sugarbutch will hate per usual.

Man, you know those don't look good with that fly-ass suit!

I swear I like it. Again, with a button down collar and a more casual tie though. :fonz:
Maybe no vest. Very dandy vibes. Not for everyone.

Edit: Also, for the record, I had the white loafers on for all of five minutes for pictures before I switched back to my croc flip flops. Something tells me you'd prefer the croc flip flops to the white loafers.
