The weather in NYC is warming up, and getting more humid. I had not planned on wearing today's attire today, but, looking at the long-range weather forecast, it seemed that today was the last day on which I could wear this outfit without melting into the pavement, so here I am.

I have included in the photos two of my latest descent into footwear madness, a result of visiting the sample sale at J Fitzpatrick - the pricing was too good not to take advantage.

Suit - Brooks Brothers
Shirt - Tyrwhitt
Tie - Paul Stuart
Cufflinks - Deakin & Francis
Vintage watch chain
Pocket square - Alain Figaret
Shoes - Paul Stuart (I strongly suspect private labeled Crockett & Jones)
Hat - Scala
Face mask - New & Lingwood

Art (by Kengo Kito) and me at Japan House in Hollywood CA.

Napps jacket, Brooks Brothers PPBD shirt, Lands' End tie, Polo Ralph Lauren pocket square, Vineyard Vines trousers, Rugby Ralph Lauren socks, and Allen-Edmonds white suede shoes.

There were a lot of those things there.

Friday June 25th 2021 National Cream Tea Day.

Wore the National Cream Tea Day colors (clotted cream and strawberry jam), went the the Chado Tea Room in Hollywood CA, and had cream tea.

For those who think there are not enough pictures of giant columns with giant elephants on top in this thread, one of the four giant columns with giant elephants on top at the Hollywood-Highland Center.

Something different: when the weather lays bare the best-laid plans. I am more amused by my limp pocket square than I should be. Finally, if you ever doubted that polishing your shoes could protect them from the elements, here is some evidence.

Alert! The tie is not SF-approved. You have been warned. Also, there was a miscommunication between the tailor and me. The fabric is different from the one I ordered. It was supposed to be a micro-check, but he ordered the houndstooth next to it. Alas, given how well he cut the suit, I ended up happy with the result.

You are joking...that suit is fire! I love the fabric, I was thinking something like that for my next suit. Peak lapels on a SB are not my thing, but it suits you. SF approved, those are not rules, there are more guidelines :)
