@An Acute Style You're killing it lately. What kind of vent would you prefer with that jacket? Hook, to complete the trad/Ivy look?
Any vent will do! Yes, a hook would be preferred. This is my only ventless jacket. It feels fine so far.

Thanks. The jacket doesn't have a vent! Can you imagine. I think it is actually a three button jacket and not a 3/2 roll because the top button is sewn through both layers of fabric. I steamed the lapel a bit to have it roll more, but it's not as rolly as I would like. I may wear it as a hard three. Gasp! I think it looks nice both ways.

I definitely need to have the collar lowered. This happens with a lot of my Polo Ralph Lauren jackets. Are there really that many tall necked people out there? Come on, Ralph.
Hard three, high neck, no vents ...
I think you got MY jacket by mistake!?

What’s wrong with a single vent? Most of my jackets have a single vent.
Well single vent looks good in a certain setting. Namely exactly the type of clothes you happen to wear. I think all single vent jackets would look better with a double vent, but I get that Ivy thing with single vent and I think it works for those type of jackets. Other than that a single vent just looks... bad.

It’s a small which is about a 38 R/L. I found the exact same one on eBay for under $100 if you’re interested.
Wicked tempter!!
I’m trying to gradually downsize my wardrobe not make it worserer!
I have a seersucker suit, a seersucker jacket and a pincord jacket all in that light blue-grey stripe. Can’t justify further purchases despite that bargain price!

Quick shot on my way to a solitary lunch.

Nice-looking suit. Might suggest a shorter belt next time. The whole loop-the-belt-end-back-through-the-main-belt doesn't work for me with a casual outfit, let alone a more formal suit. Personal preference of course, but it always makes me think that the wearer grabbed his dad's belt by mistake.

Thank you thank you. I have the perfect length brown belt for this but intentionally grabbed this belt just to see how I’d feel since I don’t really see this suit as sober as it may seem, being a taupe fresco. I see it more as a casual suit amongst my lineup, also because it’s saturday!

I don’t hate the choice and might do it again but I’m not married to it.

Wonderful outfit and equally wonderful photo. Kudos to your photographer for using a large aperture camera setting, enabling a short depth-of-field focus and minimizing the background, but still giving us a sense that you're in San Francisco. Great example for the rest of us to emulate, to eliminate/reduce the distraction of cluttered/ugly backgrounds and put the solidly focus where it should be: On the clothes and the wearer.

Kind of you to say. I’ll pass your words on to the photographer.
