Why should we buy groceries when we can make our own.

After a day away, due to the predicted monsoon of yesterday (and it did pour buckets for a short period, mid-afternoon yesterday in NYC), the weather has returned to winter, temporarily. I am taking advantage, and getting one last wearing of one of my favorite suits in, before it goes to the cleaners, and then into hibernation for the spring/summer season. I've paired it with a tie that I've owned for some 20+ years, and cufflinks that I almost never wear (they're a bit formal - and blingy - to pair with most suits, but today's suit can handle them).

Suit - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
Shirt - Ike Behar
Tie - Lewin
Cufflinks - Tyrwhitt
Braces & face mask - New & Lingwood
Pocket square - Brooks Brothers
Shoes - Bergdorf Goodman house brand
Overcoat - Turnbull & Asser
Scarf - Ede & Ravenscroft
Hat - Lock, London

We’re in lockdown here in France, so I’m not wearing anything remotely worth sharing here. I only came to recommend this artsy/fashionable/sexy/international insta account, lots of great photos of beautiful fashions, cars, women, boats and locations. It’s helping keep me sane...

Here’s what I might have worn today if I’d bothered to change out of my pajamas...

I like this, especially the jacket, but I wish either the tie or shirt had some sort of subtle pattern (probably the tie).
I'm not sold on this look. I like the solids with pocket square, but I can see your point in terms of visual interest. I think I should have gone with a tan/khaki pant instead of the gray. I think a brown tie would have looked better than the navy as well.
