The weather in NYC today is sunny, warm and pleasant, requiring a summer weight suit, at best. Digging into the archives, I found today's suit, which I've not worn in some 18 months. Happily, it still fits - lucky me.

Suit - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
Shirt - Brooks Brothers
Tie - Paul Stuart
Braces - Albert Thurston, via Paul Stuart
Cufflinks - Benson & Clegg, London
Pocket square - Robert Talbott
Shoes - Crockett & Jones, via Ede & Ravenscroft, London
Face mask - New & Lingwood

I attended my best friend's wedding this past weekend and wore this outfit to the rehearsal dinner. Almost everyone had on navy blazers and gray slacks but I did encounter one or two other gentlemen who had on brown sport coats. I ended up having a robust conversation with one of them about the versatility of brown as a color. The fact that I had so much navy in my outfit made me unintentionally coordinated with the rest of the crowd.

Jacket: Oscar de la Renta (eBay)
Shirt: Indochino (MTM)
Trousers: Black Lapel (MTM)
Shoes: Allen Edmonds (eBay)
Pocket Square: Banana Republic (Retail)
Tie: Unknown (Thrift)
Tie Bar: JCPenney (Gift)

I had a great meeting with a tailor friend of mine today, who also arranged a private tour of the last weavers in Enschede, previously the heart of Dutch cloth production. They produce suit canvas, as well as other interlining (for ties, etc.), and are apparently one of the key players in this field in Europe. No pics, sorry.. but very impressive to see!
Part of their production is also allocated to a sustainable fabrics producer, so I thought it was appropriate to wear my shirt that was made from their recycled cotton.

Fair enough. Improved on it a bit and edited the original post. Kept the pic with the bad lacing up as an act of self-flagellation. It is the second time I get admonished for bad lacing. I feel I will never get it right. Maybe I have dyslacia.
Those shoes really deserve better lacing

It still looks sloppy ? but enough bashing, the shoes themselves are gorgeous

Suit: Brioni
Shirt: Hugo Boss
Tie: Canali
Shoes: Santoni (Fatto Manno)

I have a couple of three button jackets but I've always been wary to wear them because of being tall at 6'4". As I recall you're even taller than I am and you pull this off marvelously. Well played.
