Hehe. Actually no. My favourite tailor is still closed in Stockholm. Also, working from home doesnt help. Rarely wear suits at the moment.

I was asked by my photographer to accompany him while he shot for a new client in the Financial District. We were outdoors for 3 hours in a -12 degree Celsius wind chill. Afterwards, he snuck in some shots of me. As evident from these pictures, I couldn't feel my face. Genetically, I'm Norwegian, but grew up in a Spanish desert called Seville. Photographer, however, is Jamaican and this is his first winter in Canada. I told him to beware of February because for January, this is still rather tame.

One poster here wears several pairs of shoes per day. He apparently wears a pair to work, changes to a different pair when he gets home and then sometimes a third pair upon going out to run errands or go to dinner.

I certainly do this, even moreso during the pandemic. Hell, I wear different outfits altogether throughout the day, if I’m running little errands here or there, then meeting a friend. Helps keep me sane.

Not sold on the shirt, but happy with everything else. The shirt is a purple bengal stripe. It doesn’t photograph well.

It has occurred to me that, when I emerge from my home dressed as I usually am when posting in this forum, that, in comparison to fellow citizens, I appear like a Spanish galleon in full sail in a sea of motorized dinghies - a bit grandiose and out of step with the current world. So be it. For better or worse, I enjoy exercising the visual vocabulary of menswear, manipulating line, form, color and texture to whatever visual effect I deem most pleasing, in this, one of most temporary of civilized pleasures, dressing well.

As I said previously, my outfits are assembled via the "pachinko method" - I decide that I want to wear a particular item, and then try to build an outfit from there, attempting also to cycle through my wardrobe, as things fall into place.

Today, I started with today's tie - a sale item from earlier in the winter sale season that I'd not yet worn. Today's suit was next on the rack to be worn, and I've always liked striped shirts with this suit - hence, an outfit.

Do you mean this literally or figuratively? At the end of the day, do you place today's suit to the far left of your closet and the one on the far right is tomorrow's suit? Not a bad way to keep track of what you've worn and haven't worn recently.

Pretty much that methodology, in reverse - the suit furthest to the left is the next one to be worn, the last one worn is put at the right side of the rack.

The scarf and tie are already quite matchy to my eye, so maybe something darker, like a dark blue perhaps?

I would consider pulling out/mussing up the scarf more around the collar and going without a handkerchief. I like the drape of these trousers - are those side-tabs?

I actually didn’t even notice how matchy they were until I put them both on, especially being the scarfs first time out. But it makes some sense with them both being the same brand, although bought years apart.

I’ll definitely play around more with the scarf with the remaining cooler days in my area.

Nope! No side tabs on these, I just didn’t need a belt- thanks Covid.
