I have no problem with the loafers or turn-ups, and I think the rest of you would not either, if the jacket had a bit more of a casual feeling. The shoulders and chest just look too built up to me to be casual and that mafioso collar doesn't pair well. I'll echo BSB and request a shot with a couple of buttons opened, and maybe the collar tousled a bit. I think that'd work "casual" a treat.

I was so glad to see the blackwatch mask. Opportunistic AF.

John Smedley have been running some good deals recently, so I picked up a polo shirt. With jeans and a (new) tweed jacket. Bit more casual than I usually go, but it's Saturday. Which I should spend polishing my loafers...

I feel like jeans and sport coat look the best when you take a decidedly casual outfit and just throw a sport coat on. These pics, on the other hand, look more like you had on a smart outfit and then threw on jeans for some reason. The square, the polo buttoned all the way up, buttoning the jacket...all give this the wrong tone. It would look better if you threw the jacket on with 10 year old faded Levi’s, a shirt unbuttoned at the collar and boots and then just wore the jacket open. The jeans force you to call it a causal outfit, so just be casual.

It’s a slow morning here. Broke into some new Fortnum and Mason marmalade with breakfast and don’t plan to get up to much until my overnight stint in the ICU.

Cardigan:BB
Shirt: suitsupply MTM in Thomas Mason
Tie: Charvet
Trousers: RL Polo
Belt (not pictured): Rory Nichols MTO brown grain calf
Boots: EG Shanklin 202 in coffee suede (really should’ve bought a second pair in a darker brown before prices got hiked a few years back)
