Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm behind on my thumbing, I'll catch up soon. This next set was supposed to be part of my weekly vanilla series. Vanilla(and wannabe attempts at vanilla) sucks. I'm over it. I feel some monochromatic experiments coming on.

Belatedly, yesterday's outfit: Linen and flannel.

Before the choir of "taper your trousers!" strikes up its customary tune, let me say that, after years of slim-fit everything, I have grown fond of drape. For that reason, I steam my trousers, but am hesitant to use starch. If that makes me look like less than a mannequin, then so be it. Some of us live in our clothes.

As for the full-cut chinos and the overly-long charcoal trousers that certain folks have addressed--they are on their way to the tailor, thank you. We must decide which critiques are worth our time.

I think for me its less about the trousers and more about the incongruity of the trouser and jackets together. They seem to be saying different things and you might want to look at jackets cut more in keeping with the trousers.

Dude, you're killing yourself with those photos. Everything looks like plastic. I love Magnannis, but yours look terrible.

I just think you would have more fun and get more feedback if you figure out how to get better pics.

Also show your face, at least once in a while. Hiding ones face literally reeks of insecurity. There are only a few people here who dress well enough to overcome that negative stigma.

That reminds me; I have brand new Corneliani standard size tie, silver and blue. If anyone in this thread wants it they can have it for free. I like it, but I already have a BB that looks just like it. LMK

I don’t think hiding your face reeks of insecurity. In all honesty, I find it distracting to show your face. My camera is smile activated so I have to smile like an idiot for it to take a picture of me. I think it distracts from the outfit. Also, some of you are butt ugly or remarkably handsome and it distracts from your outfit. Most people are in between so it doesn’t matter. The headless picture allows the outfit to be judged on its own merits.

I just don't want to put my face all over an internet forum. I have too many creeps hitting me up on IG as it is (and I rarely post anything with my face on there either).

As part of my husband's "staycation" in NYC, we had a late, leisurely lunch in the meatpacking district, then took a stroll up the High Line, and ended with a visit to Hudson Yards. As the weather was moderately warm (and immoderately humid), I dressed more for summer than mid-October, and was just as happy that I did - the afternoon brought out the sun.

Shoes - Alden
Face mask - New & Lingwood
