New jacket. Vintage Chester Barrie bespoke.

since starting a job which requires me to wear a tie, I have decided that I desperately need more dress shirts.

Very handsome jacket. I don't think this is the best shirt and tie for it though. I think the check shirt is too busy for the already busy jacket. The color of the tie works, but I really dislike the texture/pattern of the tie. It looks like a wood grain or Jupiter's Great Red Spot.

I agree with you! The silk is watered silk I believe.

I’ll head out soon and grab some plain staple shirts to add to my wardrobe.

Be interested to know what sort of job you have that demands a tie, when most occupations seem to be descending further and further towards onesies and jog pants for a dress code - care to spill?

I was just about to say how much better your pics are in jacket and tie instead of the smelly old Barbour and gangrene inducing jeans ... and then I scrolled down!!

Good luck on the new gig!

Haha! You swine. I haven’t worn skinny jeans since September and I’ll never give up the Barbour.

I’m an estate agent (boo, hiss) butthe old company I worked for had a much more relaxed way of dress; I wore my boots, jeans, shirt and some sort of outerwear mostly. Never a tie! since moving on, this new company requires a tie and jacket.

Robo pose while I try and calculate where fit pics are even posted and if the coming rain will revive my dead plants (it did not).

Top is nice, but I think the trousers are too skinny. Just having 1.5 cm more room in the thigh and the leg could make a big difference and it would still be a slim fit.
