I knew there was a reason not to like them.

I wonder what would happen if someone posted a picture of hitler wearing a SB suit with notch lapels. Would you burn your entire suit wardrobe and only wear DB's from then on?

I generally don't pay much attention to tradition, but I'm still probably influenced by them on an unconscious level. I've never read anywhere that peak lapels on an SB were more formal, but they've always felt that way. Perhaps because we tend to see them on tuxedos more than anywhere else. It also might be that peak lapels are just more dramatic. Anyway, I've been getting a lot of wear out of a recent acquisition, around once a week (generally, I try to get my jackets worn 2-3 times a month, though any current favorites are likely to get 3-4 times a month). Peak lapel, single breasted. And I think it works better with slightly more....severe...looks than it does with my more normal casual fare.

It's a little hard to see from the pictures as the jacket is so dark, but that does look like a very nice jacket. Who made it?

This is really nice; I have a brown hopsack suit in the works which will look a lot like this one. Now I'm even more excited.

Thanks. I plan on wearing the trousers and jackets as separates more than the suit. Did you go patch hip for the same reason?

The full suit got a little more attention than I'm usually comforatble with at work, but screw it. I love it.

I'm so disconnected I don't even know what swag is.
you know that feeling you have when you beat that one difficult videogame in one go?

The one all your friends had been bitching about how impossible it was to do?

Yeah it is kind of the same feeling.
