That's what I was thinking, but apparently there is at least one dissenter from this viewpoint:
Perhaps its just a matter of personal preference.

^ I think the scale of UC's shirt probably works but the lighting is making it look busier than it is (more stark than the actual color, though I could be wrong!). It seems like a larger scale stripe would probably mean having to change the tie. Off white would be interesting, too.

I'm enjoying the nitpicking conversation about UC's fits!

    For comparison:

Nice ^ there's still a month or so of winter left, so I have another opportunity to try other shirts. Interesting to see all the different accessories for POW check.

^ Just to be clear, those are Foo fits, not me! And it's going to be 70 in SF this week. I wish we were having a colder winter. So much stuff I'm not wearing.

You could always just crop the image SB and cut out the background. Might be less distracting for some than seeing you standing in the time tunnel!

The knit is Kent Wang. Frui doesn't do knits. They do everything in house (except for getting the fabrics), so that's beyond their capabilities at the moment.

But you should still go and check out the group buy thread!

This. Shirt stripes are precisely the same scale as the small lines in the jacket. Still a great fit, but this nit-pick stops it from being stellar.

Thanks. I like it too, despite being in dubious taste. It's a kind of "anti-SF" tie which will most definitely not be consigned to fire.

I have to admit, my eyes only see big pattern/little pattern; I don't really notice the smaller lines. Keen eye.

Nice Murl! You guys have got me interested in Vass.... Are these Vass too?

And ehmm, tie knot can be a bit tighter...

love those shoos. go with anything
There's a Mr Kuti at Vass in Budapest who can sort u out.[IMG]

    u need to send him-
    1. style (e.g. 'Adelaide' or 'Old English II" etc)
    2. last e.g. F, U, P2 etc
    3. color e.g. cognac, antique cognac etc
    4. your size in European or UK eg. '43.5' or 'UK9.5'

No need for measurements, they make the shoes to the standard sizes, but u need to be aware that the lasts are different widths and fits.

thanks! It's Cappelli- a challis, which IMO is his nicest tie cloth. Really thick and substantial.
I'd like to see this in person. First reaction was 'tie looks wrong to me, too casual', but I know u wouldn't put those 2 together without a lot of thought, & I'm warming to it.

Thanks! Because of the clothes hanging on the back of the door, it's really difficult (for me at least) to get a clean separation between me and background. I'd end up with a weird halo or weird intrusions of the background into the me part of the picture.
