Superb photo! And please, don't ever tell me your home address, because I will steal your coat [IMG]

Interesting, I hadn't considered it yet from the formal vs. casual perspective...

I like it, CM. Looks like a well executed traditional fit to me. As a non-American who isn't so familiar with these terms: is this trad, or prep, or WASP? What is the difference between those, if any?

In Practical Thoughts on Coherent Combinations etc., Vox puts madder ties on the rustic/casual end of the spectrum. I agree, though, that given the prevalence of madder ties with neat and other more formal patterns, they're tricky. I have one in particular that's a very nice navy neat, but it has the subdued colors and dry texture of madder. I haven't yet found a combination for it that I'm happy with.

Thanks EliodA. I don't know what you would call it, but I often model what I wear on Trad Ivy or other traditional university looks. I don't know if this in any way reflects reality, but when I think of prep I think of school uniforms with coats of arms on the breast pocket. WASP, not sure on that one.

Agree with @EFV that @UrbanComposition fit was one of the best I've seen in this thread in a long while.

I seem to be scowling more and more in my SF pics. Last night was a special case though...got home from work completely exhausted, necked a beer, then pressed a camera into wifey's hands for "just one shot" across the road at the park. As you can see, I wasn't really in the mood for it...

One good thing did come out of that photoshoot though.
