This. Superb fit, outstanding.
You obviously haven't seen my face.
Got a full shot mate? Feel free ti hit me on the PM. I'm most interested in how the patterned pents and the monochrome up to gelled (both independently and together). I'm a huge fan of patterned pents but theyre so hard to do well, that I study the ones that worked. Clags has had at least 1 and I suspect this could be one too.
Here's a photo that would come in handy to show the tailor who is making/fitting your vest, along with the instructions: Make this happen!
BTW, in your comment about UC's stellar fit, you wrote you don't like silk with tweed. Any particular reason? I thought it was desirable to have contrasting textures (wet/dry) there, or am I mistaken?
I think thats a personal preference thing and it depends on the paeticulars. Sometimes textural variety looks good to me, and sometimes wet on dry or visa versa looks off to me. Ymmv.
But in real life, the face is moving, changing shape, has sound coming out of it... It would take one hell of a hank to overwhelm that.
Perhaps people are concerned because they have nothing important to say?
Now you've got me!
SB, you're right of course that IRL it's hardly possible that a PS will overwhelm the wearer's moving, talking face. But choosing something competing over something possibly harmonizing still seems less than optimal.
And.... This ain't real life!
No full shot, I'll try to get one later and PM it to you.
These are indeed difficult trousers to mix/match, which is why you don't see me in them very often.
never has a pair of those cognac Budapesters been put to such good use. IMO Sublime.
Since some have asked: shirt is Oxford cloth unfused semi-spread, about 4.5 inches, to have a nice roll. Tie is brushed flannel. Hank is silk/wool. Suit is brown/black herringbone tweed.
I don't think anyone will be surprised if I say that this is my favorite fit posted here in weeks, maybe months, and there have been many excellent outfits posted here lately.
