RTC: Many people regard grenadine as more formal than most other loose knits (think, e.g., of the black grenadine funeral tie), especially if the other knit has that kind of a square end. I think those aware of these traditions and associations are apt to find the square end knit a more appropriate choice for the informal context in which it appears here (assuming they care about the history and associations in question, of course).

Wholly apart from that, I just like it. [IMG]

    Cheers,

    Ac

Yep, knit is fine there, assuming the shirt is a white OCBD and the shoes aren't cap toe oxfords.

@WeakMonday love the suit! I know it's somewhat frowned upon here, but I love the lapel roll to the last button.

Brown donegal yesterday...green one today. The shirt is actually light blue (as an indicator of how poorly I have captured the colors here...). Light grey flannels and dark brown suede chukkas below...

Love the tie - I have one similar. Is that a Rubinacci pocket square I spy? I am in love with mine!

I've never seen a frown towards such a thing. Especially when it's executed well. Which that is.

What I meant was a 6x2 being buttoned on the bottom button instead of the middle one. I know it's done by the guys from B&Tailors and a couple others I follow (mainly from Asia), but I once saw it done on SF and I recall the person was called for it, being too spezzy or something.

Now, if you tell me I'm wrong, good, because when executed properly, like the example above, I appreciate the aesthetics.

South Korea is East Asian, not SE Asian [IMG]

And yeah, I can see some of the more conservative members of the old guard being unhappy with it and calling it too sprezzy. I think at this point in SF, though, we'll all just see a nice suit with an awesome roll. I know @incontro (B&T) gets some of his double breasted jackets, if not all of them, in that configuration.

Geography isn't my strong suit, but hey, at least, I edited my post before you mentioned it!
