Thanks for the thumbs the past two days. I know this is frowned upon here, but it's an all pattern everything day. Purple gingham shirt, navy/white grenadine tie, houndstooth jacket, black watch cardigan, paisley pocket square, herringbone pants, argyle socks, camo watch strap.

Cool top half doesn't gel with warm bottom half, imo.

^ I like the way the trousers taper at the ankle.

FTFY I accept I can give feedback. The question is how valuable/insightful it will be for folks 2-3 levels above me on Metroid. (Forgive me if that reference is lost on folks; it's been kind of a long day) I see that in the closeups, which I think I glossed over on my phone before making my posts. In the initial pic, the fabric came across more as a worsted charcoal. Which is where I was coming from -- both the color and the perceived texture. I'm willing to chalk it up to one of those situations where the nuance didn't translate well across the medium. -- Here's my effort today. Had a completely different rig picked out, but decided to call an audible since I was going into the city and would be slogging through slush. Hence the beaters and the cas pents. Blue on blue qualifies me for the contest. Incidentally, in the spoiler is the first pair of pents I went with, but it seemed too washed out, so technically what I went with was a second audible. (Hey, at least I didn't call for a pass on the 2 yard line with 40 to play.) I think I like the final result better, but YMMV. [IMG] [IMG]

    I like it @Gerry Nelson !
However, me thinks another colour of the trouser would lift this. Brown perhaps?

Thanks! It's suitsupply from last season; nice cut, but too thin for a real winter coat.
