Friday challenge X-post. A somewhat sad occasion, as this is the last time I'm wearing this suit before I'm (hopefully) selling it.

Instead of tastefully interpreting my country's flag and team colours, I decided to go in the spirit of the world cup and dress with the loudness of a true football (not soccer) supporter. The red, white and blue of the tie, shirt and suit are in colours as close to the flag as possible, and the orange of the national team's outfits is seen in the square. Sorry, no full pic, but just imagine dark brown museum calf shoes on my feet.

Amar, nice tie, but those rather slender lapels appear to be a bit overwhelmed by it. Unless it's a camera angle thing?

Thanks! Yes I guess it's the angle coz the tie has a normal width (9cm)

    This pic shows it better:

Amar, I don't like that tie with the rest of the ensemble.

Monkeyface, I like the tie pattern, but I'd prefer it more if the red was darker, closer to burgundy. In general, I don't like check shirts like that with suits. Sportcoats only and with a button down collar, but hey, I can't help that I'm American.

I've been accused of many crimes against sartorial goodness before, but this is the first time that I've been accused of "boring"! :)

Epic win, Murl!! Deets on tie?

Elio - Great-looking fit. I really always enjoy the lighting that you are able to create in your pictures. It has a very nice soft look and seems to represent the colors very well.

    Crusty, Cleav, MF, good stuff.
