Note to self for the next DTO challenge.
Thanks @Pliny (and others for thumbz).
First day teaching at a new Uni as a visiting prof in Asia. Also, debuting a grenadine garza grossa with pocket square chosen by the man that makes them (Damiano Presta). PS was given as a discount and it is a great piece of silk. Really nice small shop in Roma.
I had a hard time getting dressed this morning. I didn't intend to wear a tie and wanted to wear my cream cable knit cardigan. I wanted to wear a vest, these boots, these pants, and these socks as well because it was snowing. I couldn't get a vest to work with the cardigan so I went with a sport coat and tie instead. I like the way the textures turned out nonetheless. OCBD, shetland wool vest, flannel sport coat, wool tie, tweed pants, and wool socks. Almost done grading finals. They're doing ok so far.
I should have ditched the vest and tie and worn this today.
Not WIAWT, but I just thought y'all might like this anyway.
I wish I could get my shoes to shine like those monks.
Its not the vividness that I am not feelin, its the color scheme.
False cuff + reinforcing fabric = The way to go.
Spit shine FTW! The Army taught me something useful it would seem.
That's golden right there!
I think you did alright either way, AAS.
I read some instructions by Crat IIRC. Works brilliantly. u build up a thick layer of polish by repeated gentle circular applications of wax and H20- : dip cloth in wax, apply, dip cloth in water, apply, repeat over and over, then buff with soft cloth. Works like a charm.
Alden loafer in shell #8 would be perfect
I like or appreciate almost everything you do but that first fit is one of my favorites of yours. I know it's not particularly daring but it's just...right.
