"All of them?"
Haha awesome. But yeah, all of them. I have one old pair that is uncuffed that I have been meaning to remedy.
I don't cuff my linen trousers or my wool/mohair summer blends. I cuff just about everything else.
Thanks awfully to everyone who liked the picture of my iPhone and I, and as always, thanks to all of you who take the time and trouble to post pictures.
Sitting near one of the many parking structures at UCLA (my old school) while wearing an old Brooks Brothers Brookstweed jacket and blue OCBD, Land's End tie, generic pocket square, old (55%-45% Made In Scotland) Viyella sweater vest, L L Bean cord trousers, bamboo (that's what it said on the package) socks, and Allen-Edmonds shoes......
Great outfit, @Roycru. Your writing style is very charming. I find myself reading them in Jimmy Stewart's voice.
Personal preference of course, but I'd say if there are pants that really need a cuff, it's summer weight trousers. The cuff brings just a small amount of extra weight at the bottom, which helps them drape better imho.
Hmm. Fair point, EFV, and I do cuff my tropical wool trousers. I think there's something incongruous in my head about wrinkled linen and a crisp cuff.
I used to think cuffs on pants were for old farts. Now I want 2" cuffs on all my pants.
And do feel free to spoiler my pics next time.
I will say that no cuffs on pleated trousers is just plain wrong, no two ways about it, ain't arguable as it is a fact of truth.
Did like it though Cox, nice work
Since I value your opinion, and since you tore up my Zegna suit last time I asked you for your opinion, I would like to get your thoughts on the suit jackets and how they fit. (I believe I tried them on as soon as they arrived so ignore the shirt gaps, etc). Everyone else has seen this to death so my apologies to everyone else.
I agree, Gerry's fit was quite nice, as always. But, and I mean this in genuine curiosity, what exactly made it so, and different from any other yellow tie fit fails? As always, the fit itself is superb, but all other elements are pretty close to others that have failed: Blue jacket/suit, pale blue shirt, neutral square. Is it the shade of yellow? The pattern? (The photography). Again, genuinely curious, because I have a couple of yellow ties I'd like to use, and I agree it worked, I just can't fathom how to differentiate it from those that didn't. --- Here's today.
