Excuse the blur. Quick one from yesterday. Gieves & Hawkes tie.
Looking Pitti-ful (xFC):

Thanks for the warm welcome back, will try to check in here on a little more regular basis in the future. One of the unexpected consequences of stepping away from the tailored clothing game for more than six months is that when you return, it is like you have a whole new wardrobe sitting there just waiting for you. Like meeting a lot of old friends again.....
Today, first outing of the Cappelli tie that was commissioned through SF last summer. It's been biding it's time in my closet for a few months now, so it deserved to be taken out for a spin.
Spoiler: Robo fit....
^ Not sure about the tie here @DonCologne. I have a feeling something other than that red would work better. The rest, however, looks great. Nice looking sc and together with the shirt and ps it's very nice.
DC, ^ Excellent, just smashing! ________________________________________________________ @Pingson Like you've never been away I had the blue tie in that run. Looking good there
Thursday, and dry but still cold in NYC. The Friday Challenge "What You Would Wear to Pitti Uomo". My poor attempt at this is Italian sprezzatura by way of Jermyn St., London and Madison Ave. - trying to channel my inner Federico Fellini, and coming up with Winston Churchill with indigestion after an Italian meal. Alas.
But, for your entertainment, then, today's attire.
Suit - New & Lingwood
Shirt - Paul Stuart
Tie - Charvet
Cufflinks - Niletti Creations, NYC
PS - BB
Vintage watch chain
Boots - Paul Stuart
Overcoat - BB
Scarf - Paul Stuart
Hat - Selentino, via JJ Hat Center, NYC
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
Not feelin the PS there, but quite like the rest, T.
Only really interesting thing to say is that this is the first half-windsor knot I've tied in about 10 years. Hilditch & Key.
I came back about a week and a half ago myself. Glad you are back!
Yes, major problems with the PS, but I don't know if I would have gone for a sweater of that color either. Something that red is just kind of "blamo!" in the context of a medium gray suit.
This is fantastic! One of the best 'fits in the past few months!
"My yellow in this case is not so mellow." Bonus points to whomever knows what song that comes from.
