Great boots, really cool pants.
But the shirt's collar is pretty bad, and the tie is distinctly summer wear. Neither of them go with the pants and boots.
Also, I associate tie-without-jacket (especially when it's a plain white shirt and a silk tie) with sad businesswear. Now, if you're in an environment that demands tie, but no coat, then that's a bummer, but I can't believe an environment that restrictive is the best place for heavily-flecked donegal tweed pants (which are a bolder choice).
Did I mention how cool the boots are?
I forgot the Jacket in my car this morning and I hadn´t posted here in ages so I figured a quick snap should do. My Laziness is sad but I don´t want to be sacrilegious and say this is just a forum . Anyway the tie is light tartan but I need a bit of colour at the mo as its been a long and wet few weeks and the brown cord tie I might have put on was just too much brown this morning. The boots are C & J Islays by the way.

These days it´s hard for me to make some daylight pics. Today I go a little bit later to sleep, so here are some afterwork pics:
Absolutely great outfit
I couldn't get any even light today so all I have are the close up shots:
Nice tie, Mr. Nelson.

Seriously. This kind of simple elegance in everyday daily dress is as near to perfect as you can get, whatever @EliodA 's sig line says!
@EliodA--that is sick. What a great outfit. Again, I am on the casual side, but I guess that is just the way the cookie crumbles with work!
Also, getting a much needed haircut today... ha!
There's no way the tie is that bright a blue, something's up with my camera settings or these new lightbulbs. It's midnight blue.
