+ Newc, that is a proper JLC
Thanks a lot guys--I have not showed this JLC much love in the last half a year or so, but I think it is time to bring it back to the front lines.
What have you been wearing in its stead?
Most days just my Speedy Pro. Unfortunately, all of my croc bands are just too large--I have to downsize to a short. And I just have not really wanted to fork out $300 for a new croc strap from CF.
Well the Speedy is a gorgeous watch.
Beats shelling out $400-$600 from JLC!
My Speedy was my first watch and I still love it to death but the JLC works much better with tailored clothing, IMO.
Where were you planning to get the strap for speedy from? I need to get a black croc strap for my speedy, Omega straps are around $600 with a deployment clasp, would prefer something cheaper.
Thanks Betel, I do love my Speedy. It is just so wearable, especially on a strap.
No ish. Those prices are obscene.
I adore my Speedy. I would recommend one to anybody. A great first watch.
Well, I am getting the strap for the JLC, but in the past I have used Camille Fournet, and have left very impressed.
And thats just for the leather, no buckle. When I replaced my JLC strap I paid $355 and that was straight dealer cost. But, to be fair, it was an exceptionally beautiful strap and I did not regret it at all.
Shoes: Charles Tyrwhitt
Shirt: Tom Ford
Tie: Turnbull and Asser
Pocket Square: Alexander Kabbaz
Watch: Vintage from eBay
I don't doubt its beauty at all! I do believe, however, that CF makes straps for JLC, but in my experience, the JLC-branded straps are nicer.
And I thought it was obscene when Cartier charged me $300 for a caiman strap for my little Must de Cartier from the 1980's - yikes!
Comfortable, casual. Cut my face off bc I didn't like how it looked haha
