1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Every time a man's spouse puts the kibosh on a purchase, he can be heard to exclaim, "Aw, nuts! I just got noodled again!"

I spoilered today's footwear because it was weather induced and may not be to everyone's liking.

What's not to love about brown grain leather boots, especially in the dead of winter?

My girlfriend knows some of your SF handles from overhearing me talk to myself while viewing the forum, though she doesn't get them quite right (e.g. "Pinkston, "the Moral Squirrel.") I was almost proud when I showed her a picture of Claghorn and she correctly ID'd the poster with no prompting from me.

TL;DR -- Heldentenor is a loser who spends too much time on SF, but he has a tolerant girlfriend.

I wouldn't usually wear a boot this informal with a blazer and tie, but thought I could here because it's a cashmere blazer with a wool tie and flannels on a day with negative wind chills.

Two of the greats! Both of you are looking quite good. By the by, I've been to the LPM in Dubai and it was wonderful. I can only imagine how good it is in London where things can actually be gotten fresh.

Edit: One of my favorite fits from Crust

Noodles, I'll refrain from offering relationship advice, but I will suggest that the current state of affairs is untenable. You two need to reach a mutually acceptable resolution.

I bet Señor Crust and Cleav were the two best-dressed men in a one-mile radius. Looking good, fellas!

The colour of the lapel flower is working against the colour of the tie.

White cords? Now I've seen everything.
I think it's a very nice fit, maybe even better if the trews were just a little off-white, in a coolish color to off-set the grey. Or, go with a slightly lighter jacket.

Perhaps apropos of some of the above comments re how significant others relate to the various levels of menswear consumption: I'm convinced a lot of men own a vast amount of navy suits and SCs because each new item is difficult for the non-obsessed to detect!
