Hickey Freeman. Custom made for one of their sales guys in the area, who's a dead ringer fit for me.

Hah, that's awesome. I would love one with peak lapels. I have one with notch lapels and I think the gorge is a hair dated, but that won't stop me from wearing it!

Looking great, both of you!

Always fun seeing SF irl meet ups. On that note, who is going to Florence in January?

The pleasure was all ours, Cleav. Cleav is truly charming, and lunch went by only too fast.

I wonder if UpperCrust is sporting his Homburg in Old Blighty. Sure hope so.

So sorry. Homburg doesn't pack well, and I was in Istanbul before London, and Istanbul would not have been a good place for a Homburg. I expect to be back in February in the UK, perhaps then I will wear it. (The other anticipated destination is Vienna, which would certainly work with a Homburg - the Viennese are very formal, in my experience.

Many in Istanbul would see the Homburg as a symbol of Kemmalism or a style of a secular republic. A dangerous thing to be associated with in Turkey under the current Dictator. However, the Homburg would be very popular in America with Turkish people, as many educated and refined Turks are coming here to the states. At least that is my experience.
