Thanks guys. This was actually my wedding suit (from last January). It's a 52L. I normally take a 52R, sometimes a 50R, but this suit is tight around the midriff. I've heard the TF cut described as "athletic", which suits me fine as I have a barrel chest.

    Anyway, I quite like it.

^ I think the right tie would make this absolutely killer, but for now I find it entirely distracting. Might just be me, but I'm not feeling the neckwear.

Tie too summery for the autumnal setting? Matching with the braces is a bit too 'conspicuous', to paraphrase a well known SF member.
Love the suit, shirt and overcoat though.

I am not sure why you find the tie summery. Do you mean the colors or the structure? It is kind of a fine grenadine weave.
Plain braces might have been a better choice but these are my new ones and I really wanted to finally wear them. And - of course - I usually don't show my braces to anyone, so the conspicuity is only noticed by the valued Styleforum members. :)

Yeah, I think it's mostly the colours that don't work here, IMO. Disclaimer: I wrote my previous post while on mobile and there your tie looked lik a shantung to me.
Of course I understand that normally, the braces wouldn't be seen. I guess I just wanted an excuse to use the word 'conspicuous'. [IMG]
That being said, can you tell me more about the suit? I think it looks fantastic.
Finally, your dress style and photography reminds me a bit of the professional stuff that the Shibumi guys have been posting here. Are you active in the menswear business as well?

To be honest, I am not perfectly glad with my tie choice as well but I think it still works pretty good. But another tie would have been a good approach to "calm" the outfit.

The suit is my first Suitsupply MTM project and they did quite well except for some minor fitting problems of the pants. The fabric is by Vitale Barberis.

I am not in the menswear business (not at all). But yes, the Shibumi guys are one of my major inspirational sources.

    Thank you.

Well you could start by never wearing a scarlet red bow tie and burgundy socks.

What a fantastic bag. Pity it's a one off. I would really like to have something like that made up.

Not at all. I'm 180cm and 81kg. 50-52 in a European size. 40-42 in USA sizing. Most guys hover around the 46-54 (EU) mark.
