    re: HC's tie

I've seen these types of patterns lately. NMWA carries them (Drakes) as does Henry Carter, both of whom I trust in terms of their taste. So I think this might be something that is good but simply doesn't speak to me. I know that there is no such thing as "classic and timeless," but patterns like this feel as though they are going to look dated rather quickly. Which may not bother some.

It's a love or hate tie and that's why I bought it in. It's also a seasonal tie and I make no assumptions it's otherwise. There's lots of nice conservative neats in my range but if I only did those that'd be a bit boring wouldn't it? It's spring here and it's nice to have some colour. FWIW it's selling very well so far.

I know that feel. Looks good to me tho.

    Is the tie RLPL?

Chorn - Is that jacket linen/silk blend by any chance? Was looking at something similar myself for summer here but wasn't sure about the sheen factor. This looks good though I think.

Made by an artist friend of mine from Harris tweed. She mostly does very abstract and impractical women's bags. Gallery type stuff. Her undergrad is in metal work and her MFA is in leatherwork. She made me another briefcase that was part metal part leather. Ended up being impractical.

@Claghorn , It still looks better than the stuff made by the run-of-the-mill designers. I bet the Gucci Group would charge $2500 for that bag.

Tie from LS? If so, might have been mine.

GMMcL, judging by those pictures, I'd say keep the suit.
