The size of these turn-ups are giving me ideas I’m almost positive I shouldn’t indulge in, very cool!

I wore one of those with a gray flannel suit from Rogers Peet for my Bar Mitzvah during the
Ivy heyday. I got a tan one later in College.

New flannel suit day for the first dress up of the year. Left some length for fabric shrinkage. Grabbed the least wrinkled shirt I found in a rush so there are better collars in the closet.

You really do have an eye for pattern mixing. If I owned either that sweater, or similar trousers, I’d play it safe, never mixing, but this is so good.

But what does this mean?

Left some length for fabric shrinkage.

Are you expecting wool flannel to shrink? Are you talking about the trouser length?

I think 1) wool flannel won’t shrink and 2) trousers could be shortened a cm or two

This is what my tailor said to me about dry cleaning. I have never had a suit in this fabric before so I had zero experience to argue. I am always in a debates with them about breaks with me leaning to little or no break so that the trousers drape properly. I wonder if they said this to push my closer to their preferences.

I do agree it needs to be shorter regardless.
