So my youngest has finally completed his first set of custom clothes - pants, shirt, jacket - and I'm taking him to have professional pictures taken of us by a friend tonight because, as butchy can attest to, I am one of the forum's worst photographers. To that end, I want opinions on my outfit. The shirt and trousers are fixed - they match the ones he's got and up the gag factor, I know, but I was having the pants made up first and his choice for the shirt wasn't a bad one so I wanted one too.

Anyway, here are my two options. The change is the jacket and tie. He wants me to wear one of the jackets I've had made recently by this tailor, which limits it to these two. They're not my favorites with this shirt, but everyone will survive. Anyway, the two options I've put in are:

What do y'all think?

Both options work, preference for the first one.

Wore out the pants of this 3 piece. These other herringbone pants seem to be dark enough to work well with the top part. What say you? Herringbone tie, square, jacket, vest, pants, and belt.

Curious what’s going on with the sleeve here? Just stands out given the tonality/blank canvas and the clean drape elsewhere.
It's just the way I'm standing or holding my arm. I noticed it too, when I looked at the photos, so I looked in a mirror and, sure enough, nice clean sleeve drape. Don't worry, though, I'm firing the Art Director and Wardrobe Supervisor immediately.

Also think this is too close. Cream flannel trousers would be nice. I like the look of plain flannel with a herringbone jacket.

This combo from Spier looks good to me color/pattern-wise:

Dingy hotel room selfie. As much as I dislike cold weather and being sent to the northern states in winter it gives me a chance to dust off one of my favourite jackets.

The jacket was inspired by our very own @upr_crust - I wrote about it on the blog when I first had it made up (can’t believe it’s been over seven years ya bugger!)

Thanks for the mention, TWD. As it is, I've not worn the jacket you mention since my trip to Palm Springs last year, a condition I will have to correct as soon as it is warm enough.
