Lovely suit. This is completely personal. I have no problem with button down collars with suits or double breasted jackets/suits. I do however think a spread collar would look a lot better with this one button peak lapel suit. I think a one button peak jacket is more formal than a double breasted jacket. It needs a more formal shirt.

I agree. I have too many button downs vs spread collars (1). I need to get more.

Diggin that tie... what are the deets? And is that the jacket from the S & M Drago wool/linen suit, because if so I have been sleeping on using it as a separate (although I've considered it on occasion).
The jacket is indeed from the S&M Drago wool/linen suit. The shirt and pants are also S&M
Perfect for the climate here in South Florida.
Both jacket and pants work well as separates imo.
The tie is from Brunati Como.

New suit.
I hope it doesn't look too hacky, but it might do, on account of the fact it was an unpadded neapolitan style (which I'm not really about) so I had the tailor add some padding and as a bonus that helped with the sleeve length. its a nice quality suit at least, quite comfortable. Been waiting to use this specific shirt + tie combo for a long time now, I just never had the right suit for it until now. Tailor also threw in a suspender repair as a free bonus, so I also finally get to wear these suspenders I've been waiting to use for ages.

Sewed the suspender buttons on myself!

The zigzag pattern on these really spoke to me.

Nice Shantung tie! I don't know a lot about the origin, but I assume from the name that the silk is of Asian origin, but then the fabric for your tie was actually produced/woven from that silk in Como, Italy?

(BTW, I have one Shantung tie myself - which I really like for the texture - but never really pondered the backstory before.)

I love the look of Shantung silk.

Not a bad outfit: replace that flashy shirt and the shoes and it will look considerably better. Not a fan of the braces either, but it's secondary.
