You are right. It's a challenge to find the right tie for this. I'm looking for a dark bordeaux wool or grenadine.

Black, burgundy, navy or dark brown shoes. Basically anything other than what you're wearing right now.

Shoes r excellent IMO with that suit, just not with the black tie and the argyles and possibly not with the white shirt. chestnut shoe needs a lighter sock and non-black tie.
With that tie I agree with Anden that black shoe would b classic a la Bond

Elio, I think the shoes are fine with this suit. Black would work, yes, but that doesn't make your choice wrong.
