Maybe you could doctor up your photos a bit before posting, like straightening them up so you don't look like you're on a sinking ship? They're also pretty fuzzy wuzzy. And showing the camera in the pic seems careless with a disregard for the viewer. Though tepid, still a turn off.

From your copious listening of what you're wearing, I'm guessing it probably looks quite nice. But that's it, I'm just guessing, because the photos are of little help

The presence of the camera in the photo is not really a big deal. What he could do to make the pictures more useful is stand up straight and square to the mirror, holding the camera at chest level with the other arm down.

And cinch up the goddam tie. :)

You're right of course, It's not a big deal. But what is to practically all of us here or we wouldn't have stayed, is dressing well. And putting time, energy and cash into that cause sometimes leads to a desire to show it all off. As here, in this thread. And it would seem that the way it is shown off should be comparable and compatible to the outfit itself. A shame that a heavy cash outfit often gets a 10-cent photograph.

oh come on

we know the real answer is: (1) buy a DSLR, tripod, and expensive lighting setup; (2) buy a nicer house, with better flooring and maybe some hip wallpaper; (3) cinch up the goddam tie
No, and you know better. I've seen your photographs and they're good. All you need is a decent Android phone camera, a tripod, figure out some good lighting and download Snapseed from Google, their free editing software to use after you take the photo to maybe straighten it up, sharpen it up, color balance and to make it look real. This is not rocket surgery. It's called giving a damn. And of course, cinch up the god damn tie.

The weather in NYC is sunny and seasonably cold, and I've opted today for attire a bit more casual than a suit, as tomorrow and Thursday will be black tie evenings - I need a little relief from that level of formality.

It's often odd what little things influence my choice of attire for a given day. In the Boots thread recently, @Schweino had remembered that I owned the boots that I am wearing today, even though I don't wear them often, and have not worn them in months. I took that as a sign that I should bring them out for an airing this afternoon.

Sports jacket - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
Shirt & trousers - Brooks Brothers
Tie - Chipp
Pocket square - New & Lingwood
Boots - Cheaney
Overcoat - Joseph Abboud
Scarf - Glen Lawrie
Hat - Laird Hatters, London
