A Christmas Tree and me at Ye Olde King's Head in Santa Monica CA earlier today.

You spend a lot of time there Roy. May I ask, in there English blood flowing through your veins? Or are you just a devoted Anglophile?

The weather in NYC is mostly sunny and seasonably cold, and I am leisure for this afternoon, having an early dinner out this evening. In my capacity as accidental boulevardier, I was torn between donning a sports jacket, or a suit, but, as I've not worn today's suit so far this season, I thought that it should get an airing. The suit had been in a dry cleaning bag for some months - happily, I was still able to squeeze into it (squeeze, in some cases, being the operative word).

In any case, enough attire in which to walk the streets of Manhattan without fear of frostbite, if nothing else.

Suit & shirt - Brooks Brothers MTM
Tie - Chipp
Braces - Albert Thurston via Paul Stuart
Cufflinks - Deakin & Francis via Scully & Scully, NYC
Pocket square - Polo Ralph Lauren
Vintage watch chain
Shoes - Magnanni for Bergdorg Goodman
Overcoat - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
Scarf - Turnbull & Asser
Hat - Laird Hatters, London

Do You Consider Sustainability When Purchasing Clothes?

  • Always - Sustainability is a top priority in all my clothing purchases.

  • Often - I frequently consider sustainability, but it isn't the main factor in my decisions.

  • Rarely - I seldom consider sustainability when purchasing clothes.

  • Never - Sustainability is not a factor I consider in my clothing choices.
