I see I like my knit ties at 2 3/4. 2 1/2 is the smallest I like to go. I find 3 inch and above knits to be overwhelming. How wide is the tie you're wearing?

This one is 2 1/4" - which seems to be a pretty common size for early 60s square-ended knits. I have two others of the same width. The only modern one I've got is 2 5/8". I'm a small guy with a small face but I wouldn't go lower than 2". As it happens, this one is on its way out anyway - it has some damage that you can't see in the picture but which is probably irreperable (and not worth repairing).
