Absolutely lovely. Everything is well chosen. Appreciate the black oxfords instead of the more usual brown ones.

Upon closer inspection I noticed how the shoes photographed, and I’ll admit it: I’m vain enough to want you all to know that I don’t wear shoes that look like that. Salvatore Ferragamo isn’t the best shoemaker in the world, but that photograph was borderline libelous, lol.

Easing back into the office.

Day Three of the portrait - greater articulation of the face, the hands, and the reflection of my head in the mirror behind me. A lot of work got done today. For my part, I'm learning which of the five pairs of formal shoes I own are most comfortable to stand still while wearing them for three hours as a stretch - a small but potentially useful item of information going forward.

Day Four of posing for my portrait - strengthening of color and articulation of the peacock jacket, left side of the portrait. The artist is enjoying the challenge of depicting the pattern and the colors (he had to invest in some new paints in order to do it justice). Next sitting early next week.

A rather crazily busy week, a highlight was Wednesday whereby I watched our Lionesses beat the Matilda’s in their own backyard. I of course changed out my suit to watch it in a wonderfully busy pub - so great to see it so packed to watch the women’s World Cup!
