Fak Cox that's so good!
Thank you! That is a chocolate shantung tie by Conrad Wu.
Thanks mate, quick iCrapSnap while drinking coffee at a street cafe. No image correction whatsoever so it might look a little washed out.
I keep my firecrackers in the pocket.
Looking good, but you need to fix that knot. A half windsor or four in hand would look better IMO.
I started with a 4IH but the blades hung down below the waistcoat. Bad look. This suit is fab but the waistcoat is way too short - not seen in my photo. Usually I wear it as a 2pc but today was the first outing for this shirt and I felt it needed a restraining waistcoat to prevent peoples' eyeballs from blowing out of their sockets.
Compromises, compromises. Overall I'm happy with the results.
Try a pratt next time.
This evening is the members' preview of Matisse cut-outs at the Modern, and it is to be rather cool out, thus a perfect excuse to drag yet something else out from the back of the closet.

Looks awesome, Crusty. I think I much prefer your N&L suits over your BB stuff. I agree with Shugs that it would be interesting to see you in a wide lapel, natural shoulder Italian suit. Maybe try a cheap one from eBay one day?
You make me want a power suit like that and kick @ss! Nice suit!
The problem isn't only finding a wide lapel, natural shoulder Italian suit, it's also finding a place to store it - the closets at my place are currently somewhere above 100% capacity. I may be forced to weed out the older BB's in favor of some newer models, and you're not the first to note that N & L or Paul Stuart suits complement my shape better than traditional BB's.
I saw it in the window of New & Lingwood five years ago, and simply had to have it.
Hey, @upr_crust - snap! (well, almost, mine's only a two-piece...)
More blue and brown today. I wore this awesome vintage NOS guards coat into work, even though it is too warm for the current weather, because it's going to my alterations tailor to get the sleeves shortened (see spoilered pictures). Other deets: PRL (Made in Italy so probably Caruso?) suit, Conrad Wu raw silk tie, BB Golden Fleece short, Vintage mid-century Norwegian links and tie bar (a little too high in the spoilered picture, so now moved down...), vintage PS, worn with (unseen black C&J Hallams).
Meh, looked better in my mind
