You're relatively new here, so perhaps you're not acquainted with AnAcuteStyle's taste, but I can assure you he is well aware of the statement he is making with that jacket. His username is both a nod to his profession (math teacher) and his sense of style.

Acute: marked by keen discernment or intellectual perception especially of subtle distinctions

Feel free to keep critiquing his choices, but he's very conscious of the decisions he has made. I'm reading Black Ivy: A Revolt In Style right now, and it confirms my thoughts that AnAcuteStyle is a continuation of this subversion of classic style. He certainly could choose to wear khaki or beige, as I'm sure he is aware that those are the "classic" or "correct" choices, but he purposely has chosen not to.

Wait til you see his madras pairings in the summer. 😂
Thank you for your explanation, but even though I'm new, I'm not so ingenuous to not see that his choices are totally conscious. Maybe, as a European, I'm not familiar with Ivy style, but I judge what I see and a camouflage pattern does not fit the elegant and decent outfit given by the other garments. Of course you can even choose to wear sneakers, but I cannot see any good match in that. Besides I mostly like his outfits and he has shown to not feel offended by my genuine criticism.

Fall is finally here! Season of classical music concerts, great weather, and chem finals!! Just came from a Baroque concert, sporting one of my favorite combinations of different shades of burgandy and red, paired with charcoal flannel!

Jacket: Sartoria Castangia
Sweater: Ralph Lauren
Pants: Canali
Boots: Meermin
Pocket Square: vintage 1970s

Nice to see someone else wearing that brand Lev. I have a Sartoria Castangia suit I purchased around one year ago. It is one of the only Italian suits I own I put in common rotation due to its more formal details.

Thank you! Castangia, is really good quality compared to the rest of the competition! It is on par with Isaia, but some can be up to 80% hand-made! Nice outfit btw!

Don't think that jacket should go with the trews (unless the colors are REALLY funking out my monitor), but love the chunky twill of the SC.

Beautifully cut jacket. Excellent fit. Who made it?
I’m so glad you asked. I love telling people about this jacket. It was made by a brand whose name is mentioned with utter disdain and disgust on this forum and beyond. Saturday Night Live made a skit about using their suits instead of paper towels to clean up spills. That’s right. The jacket is by none other than Jos A Bank. At one point in time, they made Ivy style coats. 3/2 roll, undarted front, swelled edges, patch flap pockets, two button cuff, horn buttons and a hook vent. The only issue to me is that shoulders have a bit more padding than I like, but I can live with it.

My first layer of fall. Tweed herringbone vest. Paired it with slew of browns and proceed into the city center. Luckily, no one in the street called me out.

My photos always have a very warm tint to them. I edit them the best I can using my phone. Here’s a before (left) and after.

Liking the core outfit (again very nice colour combination), not so the outerwear (hat is good, but a camouflage pattern is out of place in my opinion, much better a classic beige or khaki).
Camo goes w everything as a camo pattern per definition blends in w its surroundings therefore cannot be out of place innit
