er...yes, the SF crowd skews older and wants to look even older. It is fine if people want to look like they fought in the Korean War...

I will continue my anti-loafer crusade, tinfoil hat and all... We live in a world in which trying to convince people with data is impossible, in any case. I must argue on merit.

Also, loafers are pretty ageless.

Got you covered. Suede double monks! Throw the damn loafers in the trash. Or better yet, donate them so they can be burned in the cafe @An Acute Style mentioned. I must go there...

Granted, my sand-colored pair would have looked better but below you have an example of sockless double-monks that do everything loafers do, but better. Much, much better...

No, you make a fantastic argument and I'm tempted to put on that hat as well. But, I'm a sucker for a nice suede pair of loafers with no socks ;)

Pastels. Yes, this tie is an exact match for the jacket I wore earlier this week.

We just got back from Dubai. This would be the perfect evening fit for the Mercury Lounge in Jumeirah Beach (not the music venue in the Lower East Side!).

Is the jacket part of a cotton suit? I have an olive cotton/wool suit, and I wear the jacket a separate with khakis or linen trousers.
