There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks, RTC and Sander! The flowers are printed and the tie has clearly been well enjoyed prior to me since the fabric on the knot area is worn and a bit dirty - didn't notice it till the pic and hoping dry cleaning does the trick.

I also have no clue how old it really is since I got it on ebay - here's the back label if anyone can discern the era during which this label was used or why it was printed in England.

And thanks for the thumbs, all ya'll doods!

BB sources their ties from all over the place. I've seen US, England, and Italy mostly.

    I think that's a vintage bb. 80s maybe?

I think it'll knot better with a few wears, but the dimple is never as good as their newer one. I think it's because of the interlining.

This is the video that I learned from. It's the best one out there.

I see; I never really got into this kind of color harmony theories, since I put my eye above these anyway; but I see what you mean and it really is far away from a real no-go, even in my eyes. And thanks for digging up the links!

A tie pattern like this could have been printed virtually anytime in the 20th century (or after that or shortly before that). The printers in England we use have books with dozens of very similar prints that reach back to the end of the 19th century.

Very good! Though a tie with less pattern would have made it flawless!

Don't you just hate to have to put on those ugly rubbers and spoil such a great look?

Mossrocks, where do you tend to get your jackets from? You seem to be quite tall and slim (or at least your jackets create that impression!) and they're very flattering on you.

Great combination but, to state the obvious, the shirt sleeves are too long and the jacket sleeves might also be a bit too short. To be sure, pointing this out makes me a borderline hypocrite in light of some of my own fits.

Mossrocks, can we get a closeup of the jacket pattern when you have a chance?

thanks! yeah you're probably right. I just love this tie and don't wear it as often as i want to
i actually relish the opportunity to wear these! normally i feel so silly putting them on to walk 25 feet from my door to my car, then 25 feet from the car to my office door. but i was too lazy to shovel the walkway last night so I wore them out of necessity
Losing 20 pounds helped me in that regard, LOL. Also, I have a long torso just naturally. Also, the angle is great for that, lol. This jacket's from Brooks Brothers. Most of the rest of my jackets are from Polo these days. Losing that 20 lbs was expensive, haha, as I've had to slim stuff down. This jacket works well with a sweater layered underneath, but is a bit looser than I'd maybe prefer it.
