@clapeyron that is absolutely fantastic. Bierfeste too!

@Cleav those shoes give me goose bumps. C&J, right?

@TweedyProf that's a nice clean fit in the back. I'm afraid I can't have much love for the SC's fabric, though...

@ridethecliche I think higher contrast works better on you. This looks kinda washed out to me.

The Carlo Franco tie never materialized, and was never official in any case. But I completely forgot about this one. Making it again would be a travesty, though, like remaking Casablanca or Die Hard.

question for the group, (and apologies if not the right place ) regarding lapel roll and "proper style" on a two button suit I'm receiving conflicting info from the salesmen at the big name brand shops... one told me the lapel should role to a point just above the top button (inch or two) or at most just the top edge of the button, another has said it's just the cut if it rolls to and basically covers the top button. I'm including a stock photo of what looks right to me, just have a feeling salesmen just trying to sell me their suit, regardless if it really fits me right? I see most pics on here of 2 buttons roll pretty similar to this. also attached is a fit that was almost borderline to what I'm talking about. just seemed, the button was being covered and forced to the side but not as much as what another told me was even ok? thoughts?

Fok I'll be on to you about this tonight sometime. I guess what I envision is something that stays true to what we (Henry Carter) are about, what SF is about and that people want to buy while still being tasteful. Like anything though we won't be able to please everyone.

I absolutely envision having something that can be used for comps or whatever Fok wants, but also something that can be sold to members. I'd probably think a pre-sale type deal would be best so we can offer 3 fold, 7 fold etc. There are some great patterned grenadines and I have some images on hand to show Fok tonight before we start a thread to open it up a bit. Rest assured there will be plenty of consultation with members along the way.

Cappelli does a lot of flowery grenadines and they're very pretty (see the special garza run thread), and several members' necks). I think a muted grenadine fina geometric neat would be beautiful - and very SF. Anyway, in Henry Carter we trust.

I don't often wear black shoes but when I do, it's usually this pair.

It's funny how the distance makes your jacket look completely different. Great jacket and tie!
